|Green Hand Aquaponics is a local DFW aquaponic gardening system producer. Green Hand specializes in designing and building custom aquaponic systems to meet every customer's special needs.|
|Aquaponics is a sustainable food production system that combines a traditional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as snails, fish, crayfish or prawns in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment. In the aquaculture, effluents accumulate in the water, increasing toxicity for the fish. This water is led to a hydroponic system where the by-products from the aquaculture are filtered out by the plants as vital nutrients, after which the cleansed water is recirculated back to the animals.|
|Our mission is to provide anyone with the means to grow their own organic food in an effective and environmentally friendly way.
Sustainable living practices are growing more important everyday as the world population grows and the amount of land used for agriculture shrinks. Green Hand can provide anybody with the means to produce enough food to feed themselves and their family and perhaps even some left over to sell. We offer free in-home consultations without obligation. Should you decide to purchase a custom built aquaponics system, our employees will be with you every step of the way to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot your system.
Green Hand Aquaponics was founded by Kyle Harris, CEO and Daniel Harbin, CMO. Kyle and his family own several of their own aquaponics systems and constantly enjoy the fruits (or vegatables) of their not-so-hard labor.
